Verify your users are who they say they are.
Contiguity Identity provides a seamless solution for verifying identities, preventing fraud, and ensuring trust and safety globally. With Contiguity Identity, you can:
All this is delivered through our conversion-optimized UI, eliminating the need for you to build your own interface.
Using Contiguity Identity requires you to have an Identity Entitlement. Without it, you will not be able to access Identity. You can request an entitlement in the Dashboard, which has its own onboarding process.
Contiguity Identity must not be used for the following purposes:
Limit how much information about verifications you store. Whenever possible, store only references to the verification (Verification Report ID, Verification Session ID, etc.), and use the API to fetch sensitive information when you need it. This simplifies your integration, limits your exposure in case of a data breach, and helps you comply with strict privacy laws like GDPR.
Limit how many verification sessions a user can start. To prevent fraudsters from abusing your verification flow and incurring charges on your account, we recommend that you limit the number of times a user can verify themselves.
Offer a verification method other than Identity. Contiguity Identity may not be able to verify all of your users. For example, a user might decline to be verified using biometric technology, attempt to verify with an unsupported document type, or not be covered by Identity’s verification checks. We recommend providing alternative ways to verify your users, such as contacting your support team. In some jurisdictions, privacy laws (such as GDPR) might require you to offer a non-biometric verification option for users who decline to consent to using their biometric information.
Contiguity Identity has to collect sensitive information, like facial and identity document images. Ensure that your privacy policy tells your customers about all the ways you may use / reuse their Identity Data, and that it is shared with Contiguity. Below is a sample paragraph you can use in your privacy policy:

You further acknowledge that Contiguity shares this information with us and may use such information to operate and improve their services, including for fraud detection purposes.
